Systematised and serial: Goldbeck builds 860 residential units in Berlin
The construction and services company Goldbeck plans and builds 860 residential units in Berlin-Neukölln. Goldbeck realises the residential buildings systematically and in series. The first residential units in the “Greenpark“ neighbourhood by the Teltow Canal will be finished in just one year. It is planned that the whole project will be completed in 2026.

The clients for the project are Bauwens and Indigo Invest. Goldbeck plans and builds a total of 15 residential buildings with around 860 residential units on a total area of approximately 39,000 square metres. Goldbeck's systematised construction method enables the residential units to be built in series. The company prefabricates building components industrially in its own plants and assembles them precisely on the construction site. This enables a fast building process. While other construction companies start installing the buildings on site, Goldbeck assembles the prefabricated elements on site like a modular system. “We build residential units in a way that helps Berlin: quickly, economically and with a high level of quality,“ emphasises Jan-Hendrik Goldbeck, Managing partner of Goldbeck.

More speed in residential construction through serial construction

The "Greenpark" project is being realised at a time when demand for residential units in Germany is significantly exceeding the supply. In addition, the economic challenges for the construction industry are increasing. "In Germany, we can't afford to keep starting with a blank sheet of paper when building residential units. Our systematised construction method enables us to plan and complete high-quality housing quickly - and in series. Contrary to the general view in the construction industry at the moment, residential construction is a product with prospects in our eyes," summarises Jan-Hendrik Goldbeck.

Creating a diverse living space

Where there used to be a swimming pool in need of renovation, a total of around 39,000 square metres of living space will be created by 2026. Social housing will also benefit from this: the project includes around 100 social housing units. The new residential neighbourhood also offers space for the education of children. Goldbeck is building a daycare centre for this purpose. In order to promote the community of people in the "Greenpark" and create a diverse living space, a children's playground and a padel and basketball court are also planned. Nestled in a green setting near the Teltow Canal, the "Greenpark" residential neighbourhood is not only very well connected to schools and doctors, but is also close to the popular Tempelhofer Feld.
